Color of Change

Our Foundation

Happy Family Organics was founded in 2003 by Shazi Visram, with the mission to change the trajectory of children’s health through nutrition. A mother, woman of color, and activist, Shazi built the Happy team on the foundation of acceptance of diversity, and created value in raising the next generation to do better in building a more inclusive and just world. These beliefs created a vision that now more than ever drives us to take action and make progress towards racial equity.

It is our responsibility to strengthen what we’ve built – to look to our team, our partners, and our communities to impact, support, and advocate for diversity, justice, and equity. We stand in solidarity with the Black community, working to be proactive contributors to the anti-racist movement now and every step of the way as we strive to build a better future for our children.

Working Together

Resources for Parents We are sharing these resources to help families who seek or want to give support. Check out the Happy Family Instagram page to find the full list as it grows!

We want to hear from you... We are committed to taking action, and welcome your feedback to strengthen our plans as we work towards creating real change, together. Please share any anti-racist educational resources, Black-owned businesses to support, initiatives we can spotlight – anything you feel we can do better as a brand to help to build a stronger, more inclusive community.

Action for Change

Our mission and our values remain focused on building a better future for our children. Doing so starts with increasing diversity as we foster a more equitable environment, ensuring our team is reflective of the communities and families we serve.

But our work does not end there.

We are committed to doing our part to break down the systemic & institutional barriers that marginalized communities face, as we raise and empower the next generation to continue to learn, challenge, and fight for positive change.

We encourage open and honest feedback on how we are doing throughout this journey.

Career Opportunities We are looking to expand our network, to build more diverse and inclusive teams that will help strengthen the Happy Family Organics community!
